Rivers and Streams

Any flowing watercourse. An unmodified river or stream will have a variety of bank profiles and channel features and associated habitats supporting a wide range of species. In their natural state they are continually changing creating a dynamic system.

Mammals Otter, water voles.
Birds Snipe.
Amphibians Great crested newt.
Fish Salmon.
Invertebrates White-clawed crayfish.
Plants Grass wrack pondweed.
