Excavations
If the Local Planning Authority's Archaeologist feels a site needs to be properly excavated prior to development a plan of work is put forward for tender by a number of archaeological teams.
The developer then decides which archaeological team they will employ to carry out the work.
Careful planning before going out on site is vital as it is essential to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved.
