Picture of Trentham Mausoleum

The Mausoleum in Trentham is the area's only Grade I listed building. It is situated on Stone Road, opposite the main entrance to Trentham Gardens.
The Mausoleum was constructed for the Marquis of Stafford in 1807-1808 to the design of Charles Heathcote Tatham of Trentham and was used to house the bodies of the Sutherland family. These bodies have now been removed.
Plans are now underway to restore this building after it was listed on English Heritage's list of 'at risk' monuments in 1999.
