Lawn Farm moated site, Berryhill

Location: Off Tiverton Road near the B5040 Dividy Road

The site is believed to be that of the Medieval Manor house of Fenton-Vivian-Cum-Bottleslow. The ditch, which was originally fed by a stream, now retains rainwater. Several archaeological investigations by The Potteries Museum Archaeology Field Unit have revealed the substantial rectangular stone built structure of the hall with a cross wing, a circular stone structure though to be a dovecote and another stone structure believed to be a corn drier or malting oven.

The site is freely open to the public.
