| The
names of fallen soldiers are inscribed on
three plaques inside the Town Hall. This
plaque commemorates the soldiers who died
during the Boer War, 1899 -1902. The
inscription reads:

and patriotism of Fenton townsmen who served
their Queen and country in the Boer War 1899
-1902
and to perpetuate the memory of the following
non-commissioned officers and men who died
of wounds or sickness during the campaign.
