Hanley war memorial

This plaque is from Hanley war memorial which stands opposite Hanley Town Hall at the top of Albion Street. There is a full list of names to commemorate those who died during the war, inside Hanley Town Hall. The inscription on this plaque reads:

North Staffs Branch
Dedicated to our comrades who fought in
The Burma Campaign
1941 -1945
"When you go home tell them of us and say,
for your tomorrow we gave our today"
  Kohima Epitaph.
