and it may be that you have an unusual rock or one that is difficult to
identify. You could try the
sedimentary
and metamorphic rock keys, or could
search the Virtual Store to see if your specimen matches any of the rocks
featured there.
If you are still unable to identify your specimen, why not take it to a local
museum or do some research in your local library?
