Site
Description
Two pools used for fishing, the northern pool at
SJ85055135 has little in the way of marginal
vegetation. The southern pool at SJ85065125 has
emergent vegetation of Glyceria and Typha
at its south western tip. The southern pool is
surrounded by open scattered scrub (Salix
spp.) and rank grassland which extends to
the south of the pool to SJ851514. A subsequent
visit located a single flowering spike of Dactylorhiza
fuchsii x D.praetermissa and 100+ plants not
in flower.
Management Aims
The pool at the northern end of the site is used
by local fishermen
