Yellow flag
irises photographed at Hartshill Park in 2001
This
park, which is on Hartshill Road and overlooks the A500, has ponds,
grassland, woods and a variety of wildlife. In
the summer bats can be seen hunting for insects
over the ponds and kestrels regularly patrol the
grassland searching for small voles and mice.
The pathways through the park are a popular
route to school for many children.
