This
site is an extensive area of low lying meadows,
marshy grassland, marsh and hedges in Stockton
Brook and has the Cauldon Canal running through
the area. It is an important sites for birds
including declining species such as snipe. The
flora is dominated by rank-growing grasses and
tall herb vegetation, with patches of marsh
cinquefoil (Potentilla palustris) and
lesser pond sedge (Carex acutiformis).
