Calcareous Grassland (Unimproved and
Semi-improved)
Species-rich grassland occurring on limestone
that has not been ploughed, re-seeded, or
modified by the addition of fertilizer. This
form of grassland tends to be much more
diverse in grasses and plants than acidic
grassland. A very large proportion of good

lies in the Peak District National Park.
