This is an area of rough grassland along the eastern side of the Lyme Brook near Trent Vale. The area is divided by a ditch with poplars planted along the north bank. The area south of the ditch is dominated by rosebay willowherb (Chamerion angustifolium) and nettles. Bridgett's Pool, which lies to the southeast of the brook, has some emergent vegetation and water voles, a nationally rare species, have been reported here. The area to the north of the ditch is dominated by grasses and scrub.
